Basic drawing skills are essential for almost all types of art. You will be surprised how this drawing skills course will help you in all your future art endeavours. This course will teach you to “see” as much as learn to draw. The course will explore contrast, space, composition, value, volume and much, much more.
This course is also for students who are beyond the beginner level. The Instructor will work with you, teaching you new techniques to further your drawing skills. Come prepared to have fun, and as a bonus, you will also improve your doodling skills.

if you would prefer to bring a smaller sketch book for making notes that’s fine…..in addition you will need a large pad of drawing paper

About Your Instructor: Ian De Hoog
Ian de Hoog is a Canadian watercolourist and instructor living out on the West Coast of British Columbia. Ian developed an early visual interest in the medium due to the works of Franklin Carmichael and Toni Onley. However, it was during a brief stint studying architecture that a physical love of painting and art manifested. Ian’s paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions and are included in a growing number of private collections around the world.
