Description
Discover the magic of making your own healthy cheese and dairy products with no additives or artificial ingredients! Cheesemaking combines art and science, using regular pasteurized store-bought milk, and simple tools and ingredients.
Learn how to make your own sour cream, cream cheese, Fromage Blanc, and Boursin. Creating these at home is only a fraction of the cost, and you know there are no artificial ingredients, thickeners, colours, or extra salt. Students will work with a pre-made fromage blanc curd that they will take home as an appetizer. Cultures and instructions are included. Whether you are making your own cheeses for entertaining or thinking of some hand-crafted gift ideas, you’ll leave with a lot of ideas, learn a new skill and taste some amazing cheeses! Bring a container as you’ll be bringing home cheese!
This classes uses vegetarian rennet. Dairy is used, and meat may be present for tasting and recipes.
