Our MOA programs now include our standard MOA, as well as the NEW Allied Medical Office Assistant, plus our Clinic Manager Certificate.

The MOA program will prepare a student for a job in the healthcare industry. Fully revised and updated, with new specialization options, this certificate program enables new health administrator entrants, health career upgraders, and external career changers with the skills they need to make successful transitions. Each full Program offers participants 120 hours of classroom training, within four courses at 30 hours each. Each course will be graded according to successful completion of quizzes and assignments. These course offerings work in conjunction with a practicum work experience (arranged individually with instructor) to prepare the students for the MOA role. The MOA role is in demand in family practice, walk-in clinics, specialty practices as well as facilities like Fraser Health and the health authorities.

Allied Healthcare is the fastest growing sector in the healthcare industry. Our research shows for every 100 healthcare jobs posted online, approximately 33% are for AMOA (Allied Medical Office Administrator) for which there is no current local training other than this program. Allied care includes but is not limited to: Chiropractic Doctor, Naturopathic Doctor, Physiotherapist, Registered Massage Therapist, Kinesiologist, Acupuncturist, Mid Wife, Registered Clinical Counsellor, Psychologist, Social Services, Addictions and more.
 
About our Clinic Manager Certificate: Management oversight in both Primary and Allied clinical environments is one of the fastest growing career upgrades in healthcare. Practice owners everywhere are looking for administrators who have a mind for taking care of business, not just patients and practitioners. Our research shows for every 100 healthcare jobs posted online, approximately 30% are for Clinic Manager, for which there is no current local training other than this program. The Clinic Management program is suitable for currently employed MOA’s or Clinic Supervisors who want to upgrade theoretical and practical management skills, or for experienced managers from other industries who are interested in career opportunities in the high-demand, high-stakes world of healthcare.
