Experience the creative energy of working outdoors in this welcoming plein-air drawing and painting class.
Open to artists of all skill levels, our plein-air class focuses on observation, composition, perspective and capturing light and atmosphere on location.
Individual instruction and group demonstrations will support personal goals while fostering confidence and creative growth in a relaxed, inspiring outdoor setting.
Participants are free to use any drawing or painting medium they choose. See below for the recommended supply list for your first class.
Your instructor, Bryce, will give a comprehensive outline of possible material choices along with the benefits and downsides of each on the first day of class.
With the items from the supply list below, minimum supplies will serve you well through the course if you choose to keep it simple.
After the first class, students will have the option of shopping, bringing in what they have from home, or just sticking with the always popular tried and true sketchbook and pencil combination.
