Description
A new class series from our Supervisory Skills Certificate Program: Essential Conflict Resolution Skills For Supervisors & Leaders
Sometimes it seems that certain people just have a way of really getting under your skin. You probably have relationships at work that challenge you on a variety of levels. As a Supervisor you may have team members that always seem to be in conflict with each other or the whole team and everyone looks to you to resolve the issues. What do you do? Do you run from conflict, face it head on, try to find a win-win solution or like many people; do you feel like you don’t have the skills or confidence to deal with it?
This two-part workshop will provide your confidence, your awareness and provide you with hands-on skills training to assist you in dealing with one-on-one conflict, conflict in teams and interpersonal conflict.
Introduction to Effective Conflict Resolution – Part 1
When you have a group of people who come from different experiences, knowledge and personalities working together on a team, you have to expect some conflict. As a Supervisor your role is to both leverage the positive power of conflict and diffuse the negative forms of conflict. How you approach the conflict will impact relationships on your team and the level of performance success the team has. In Part One of this Two-Part Workshop the focus is all on you as the Supervisor.
By the end of the workshop you will:
Understand Conflict
