Take Control of Your Taxes – Learn to Prepare Your Own Return!
Why pay someone else year after year? Gain the confidence and skills to prepare your own T1 Personal Income Tax Return—accurately and independently.

In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to complete a basic personal income tax return from start to finish using StudioTax, a free or low cost and CRA-certified tax software.

You’ll learn how to create profiles for yourself and your family members and understand how to navigate key areas of the software.

The course covers a wide range of common tax slips, including T3, T4, T4A, T5, T4RIF, T4RSP, T2202A, and T5013.
Students will also learn how to claim a variety of deductions and credits such as:

• Charitable donations and gifts

• Medical expenses

• Tuition and education amounts

• Childcare expenses

• Employment expenses

• Interest on student loans
  …and more.

By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped with the practical knowledge needed to confidently file your own tax return
and better understand your financial situation.

A course manual and/or exercise book is included with your registration fee.
Please bring a laptop to class.
