Building Service Worker (BSW) Standard Program

Description

Trained custodians are always in demand! Upon completing this Building Service Worker Certificate course, you will be qualified to seek employment as a building service worker in various industries and businesses, including positions as school, hospital, and government building custodians. You will also be ready to start your own contract cleaning business or be in a position to land cleaning contracts in the private sector.

The course consists of in-class instruction, and hands-on experience to train you in cleaning, chemicals, equipment, floor and carpet care, public relations, and safety. It prepares you with the business knowledge needed to calculate job requirements, and to complete successful quotes for cleaning jobs, if required. You will also complete the WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) Certificate.

Course fee includes textbook. Please bring a highlighter pen and a scraper (putty knife) to class. Students must have a good command of the English language.

A Certificate will be issued upon successful course completion.
