Microsoft Word Level 1

Description

Microsoft Word is the most popular word processing (document and typing) program in the world. If you wish to create letters, reports, documents, etc., Microsoft Word is the software most commonly used.

This course is designed for students who desire the skills necessary to create, edit, format, and print basic Microsoft Word documents. It teaches students how to create and edit documents, apply formatting options, set tabs and indents, manipulate the text using features such as copy, paste, preview, and then print the document.

Skills covered:
• Creating a document
• Selecting text for further action, such as formatting, deleting, copying, pasting, etc.
• Organizing, editing, and formatting your documents
• Paragraph formatting
• Page formatting
• Setting tabs for columnar types of information, such as financial reports
• Cutting, copying, and pasting information
• Using undo
• Numbering pages
• Spellchecking
• Using the thesaurus
• Changing the margins, paper size, and orientation for a document
• Previewing and printing documents
• Creating, editing, and printing envelopes and labels
• Creating and manipulating tables.

Prerequisite: Computer Basics Level 2 or equivalent.

Cost includes manual. A Certificate will be issued upon course completion.
