The Supervisory Skills – Level II program has been designed using the latest research on managing and engaging employees in order to achieve desired results through effective supervision. The content includes theory, but concentrates on the translation of theory into practical and realistic work-related application within the work environment.
The content will provide managers, supervisors and team leaders with a solid foundation for recruiting employees using behavioural interviewing techniques, designing an onboarding/orientation program that prepares new employees for effective job performance, coaching for performance, solving employee performance issues by applying the CEDAR approach, and running effective staff meetings. Individuals overseeing volunteers and those wishing to gain the skills to apply for supervisory positions will also benefit.
A Certificate will be issued upon course completion.
The Supervisory Skills – Level I course is recommended as a prerequisite to this Level II program. Previous supervisory experience is also beneficial.
