Beginners’ Cookie Decorating Class – Half Day

Description

Do you love cookies and want to learn the art of cookie decorating to make beautiful cookies any time of the year for gifts, for fun, or even to sell? If you are overwhelmed, you don’t know where to start, or you fear royal icing, this cookie decorating for beginners course is for you. Join Liz for a fun and creative cookie-decorating class!
You don’t need any experience working with sugar cookies! Recommended for ages 10+.

In addition, you will take home both Liz’s sugar cookie and icing recipes, as well as a special cookie cutter so you can practice your new skills at home.

Bring an apron, your reading glasses if needed, a sharp pair of scissors, a pen and paper, a small spray bottle, a tall plastic cup, and a container (with a lid) to take your decorated cookies home. In these 2-2.5 hour classes, you will practice basic piping, filling, and other techniques and will walk away with 6 beautifully decorated themed cookies.

You can pre-order a Take Home DIY Kit to practice your new skills at home after class. Kits are made-to-order and can be reserved by contacting the office. The deadline is 2 weeks before class. They are $30, payable to the instructor, and include 6 cookies, icing, and embellishments. No additional cookie cutter or scribe is included in this kit but can be purchased on-site – $4 each or 3 for $10.
