Unlock the power of Excel, Microsoft’s spreadsheet program, found in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Excel is the most popular spreadsheet program in the world today!
Students will learn to navigate and work with worksheets and workbooks to analyze data using essential Excel features.
They’ll gain hands-on experience creating, modifying, and formatting common business reports—such as budgets, inventory reports, invoices, and charts.

This course is designed for students who want to develop the skills necessary to create, edit, format, and print basic Microsoft Office Excel worksheets, and manage and audit numerical reports.

 

Join us to learn a variety of important foundational skills including:

  • Creating, opening, and saving a workbook
  • Entering data in a worksheet
  • Editing your data
  • Formatting Cells
  • Formatting Text
  • Formatting Numbers
  • Cutting, copying, and pasting information
  • Inserting and deleting rows and columns

  • Creating and editing simple formulas
  • Using common functions
  • Introduction to absolute and relative cell references

Prerequisite:  Computer Basics Level 2 or equivalent

 

 

For virtual classes, you will need:

  • A computer (PC or Laptop) with a webcam and microphone
  • Microsoft Office 365 subscription
  • Textbook pickup from FVCE Office, or contact to arrange mail-out for $24 mailing fee
