Foodsafe Level One – Certificate Course

LEARN THE IMPORTANCE OF FOOD SAFETY!

This is a government-certified course that is designed for those who are or will be handling and storing food.

This program covers important food and worker safety information, as well as procedures for:

• preventing food borne illness
• receiving food
• storing food
• preparing food
• serving food
• cleaning and sanitizing
• hygiene
• workplace safety

This course is recommended for:

• Those employed or seeking employment as food service establishment operators (including restaurant staff, caterers, vendors, or anyone handling food)
• Volunteers in food-handling situations including soup kitchens, school cafeterias, recreational camps, church kitchens, sports concessions, etc
• Those looking for general food handling, sanitation and work safety knowledge

Upon successful completion, participants will be registered with the Fraser Health Authority and will receive an official FOODSAFE Certificate recognized by the BC Hotel and Restaurant Association.
Handbook included. Course tuition includes a $24 fee for a workbook and Health Department Certificate processing charges.
